The Village Building Department is the cornerstone of responsible growth and safe construction in our community. We enforce the Village Zoning Ordinance as well as the current editions of the New York State Codes. To protect property owners and the public, all contractors working in the Village must provide current, valid insurance. We ensure these certifications are properly filed and maintained — because safety begins before the first nail is hammered. [See Samples]
📐 Plan Reviews (Residential & Commercial)
Before any construction begins, our expert staff reviews architectural and engineering plans to ensure they comply with state and local regulations. This helps prevent costly mistakes and ensures that all buildings are structurally sound, safe, and aligned with community standards.
📁 Building File & Record Maintenance

🏛️ Building & Zoning Code Compliance

To support high-quality housing and fair oversight, all rental properties must be registered with the Village. This helps ensure landlords are compliant with safety regulations and that tenants have access to secure, properly maintained homes.
